Indiana Jones and The Great Circle’s PS5 release date may have appeared online
Machine Games’ excellent adventure is coming to PS5 soon
The PS5 release date for 2024’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle may have appeared online.
Indiana Jones and The Great was released on December 9, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S and PC, and has also been available with Game Pass since launch. The game was announced for PS5 last year, however, the launch date for the game has yet to be officially announced.
Now, according to Gyro, citing French retail sources, the physical edition of the game will be released on April 17, suggesting the digital version of the game would come at the same time.
When the game was released last year, it was well received by critics, earning scores of 86 (console) and 87 (PC) on review aggregation site Metacritic. VGC’s review said it was, “one of 2024’s greatest adventures.”
“We had a smile on our face from beginning to end while playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. As close as games can come to a genuine old-fashioned Hollywood blockbuster, it’s also an incredibly rich adventure game stuffed to the gills with secrets to find.”
Developer MachineGames is currently working on story DLC for the game called The Order of the Giants, which will launch in 2025.
The boss of Lucasfilm Games recently said it would be “super interesting” to “tell more and more Indiana Jones stories”.
Indiana Jones and The Great Circle coming to PS5 is the latest move in Microsoft‘s mulit-platform expansion. The strategy appears to have worked, leading Microsoft to be the industry’s biggest publisher in December 2024, thanks in large part to Call of Duty.
