Images of alleged Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons have appeared online
If authentic, this could be the first proper look at Switch 2’s controllers
Images that claim to show the Nintendo Switch 2’s controllers have appeared on social media.
The alleged images appear to show the Joy-Con controller that will seemingly come with Nintendo‘s successor console.
These images allegedly originate from a factory in China, which is currently producing Nintendo’s next, currently unannounced console.
It’s worth bearing in mind that due to a large amount of information circulating from case manufacturers about the console, these images may well be very convincing fakes.
However, if accurate, they corroborate previous claims that the Switch 2 Joy-Cons will be slightly larger, and feature a magnetic connection, as shown in this fan-made comparison image:
Several case manufacturers, who are provided details of forthcoming tech before it is announced in order to prepare products, have recently published what they claim to be cases for Nintendo’s next console, thus revealing some details about the shape of the system.
This is the latest in an onslaught of what claim to be leaked images of the forthcoming console. The first alleged images of Nintendo’s Switch successor appeared online in September, showing a design that’s not too dissimilar from the company’s current-gen console.
Then earlier this week, alleged images of Switch 2’s internal hardware components appeared on Reddit. If accurate, the images appear to confirm previous hardware spec rumors suggesting that the new console will again be powered by Nvidia hardware.
Nintendo has yet to officially reveal its Switch successor, but the company has confirmed plans to do so during its current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025.
