Human Fall Flat 2’s release has been delayed to 2026.
Publisher Devolver Digital confirmed the delay in its latest annual financial report, which was published on Thursday.
“Human Fall Flat 2, the anticipated sequel to the global hit, will not now be released in 2025,” it said. “We remain very excited about this title which we believe will set us up for an even stronger 2026.”
Like the upcoming sequel, the original Human Fall Flat was developed by No Brake Games, but it was published by Curve Digital.
The game was released in 2016 and had shipped 50 million copies across PC, console and mobile platforms as of December 2023, according to the companies.
The sequel was announced for PC during the Devolver Direct 2023 showcase last June.
“Team up and let your creativity run wild in Human Fall Flat 2, the outrageous new sequel to the much-loved capers of everyone’s favourite physics-based human friends,” reads the blurb accompanying its reveal trailer, which is viewable below.
“Human Fall Flat 2 is the bigger, better and clumsier sequel to the puzzle platformer global sensation featuring brand new levels, customisable characters, and even wilder physics-based fun.
“Each intricate level comes packed with new toys and devices to fiddle with as you’ll solve a range of fiendish puzzles on your own or in teams of up to eight friends.
“A new physics-engine, new gameplay interactions and new mechanics will make every session uniquely silly and more dynamic than ever before. Along with refined controls, visuals and music, Human Fall Flat 2 is a slapstick experience unlike any other!”
