Hollow Knight: Silksong confirmed to launch day one on Xbox Game Pass

Hollow Knight: Silksong will launch on day one on Xbox Game Pass, it has been confirmed.

The new trailer below, which debuted at the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase on Sunday, provided a fresh look at the Metroidvania title.

While a release date wasn’t given, Microsoft said the game will be available in next 12 months.

Developed and published by Team Cherry, Hollow Knight: Silksong will also be released for PC and Switch.

According to the game’s Steam page, players will “play as Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, and adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song! Captured and brought to this unfamiliar world, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak.”

It adds: “Hollow Knight: Silksong is the epic sequel to Hollow Knight, the award winning action-adventure. As the lethal hunter Hornet, journey to all-new lands, discover new powers, battle vast hordes of bugs and beasts and uncover ancient secrets tied to your nature and your past.”

The game will feature a brand new kingdom, over 150 different enemies and a Silk Soul mode, a new difficulty setting that vastly changes the game after the first playthrough.
