Hogwarts Legacy is getting a dedicated State of Play presentation this week

It will include over 14 minutes of PS5 gameplay

WB Games and Avalanche Software will provide the “first in-depth look” at Hogwarts Legacy gameplay in a dedicated State of Play presentation on March 17.

The presentation will kick off at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 9pm GMT on Thursday and last for approximately 20 minutes, including 14 minutes of PS5 gameplay.

“Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. Games are happy to partner with PlayStation to bring you a special edition of State of Play entirely dedicated to Hogwarts Legacy,” community manager Chandler Wood wrote in a PlayStation Blog post.

“Since we first revealed Hogwarts Legacy, the trailer has been viewed over 28 million times on the PlayStation YouTube channel. We promised to share more this year, and we’re finally ready to deliver on that promise.

“The show will run for about 20 minutes, featuring over 14 minutes of Hogwarts Legacy gameplay captured on PS5, and concluding with some insight from a few members of the team at Avalanche Software who are bringing the Wizarding World to life.”

Wood added: “This is an incredible moment that we’ve been building towards for a long time. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.”

Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action RPG set in the world first introduced in the Harry Potter books.

Due to be published under Warner’s Portkey Games label, it was originally scheduled to be released in 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.

However, last year Warner delayed the game’s release window to 2022. It recently reiterated plans to release Hogwarts Legacy this year, along with WB Games Montreal’s Gotham Knights, which will arrive in October.

An upcoming book, ‘The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy’, could hint at plans to the release Hogwarts Legacy in September.
