Hitman 3’s latest trailer shows off the trilogy in VR
Over 20 Hitman locations can be played with PlayStation VR
IO Interactive has released a new Hitman 3 trailer showcasing virtual reality gameplay.
Hitman 3 will be released on January 20, 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Stadia and PC via the Epic Games Store.
As part of its release, PlayStation VR support is coming to all three Hitman games in the current trilogy.
Hitman 3 will take Agent 47 to six new locations including Dubai, Dartmoor, England, and Chongqing, China.
Locations from the previous entries in the trilogy can also be imported to the upcoming game and will benefit from Hitman 3’s improvements to rendering, animation and AI, according to IO.
“That’s more than 20 Hitman locations from the World of Assassination trilogy to enjoy in PS VR,” IO Interactive communications manager Travis Barbour recently told PlayStation Blog.
“You can either play Hitman 3 in PS VR natively on your PS4 or via backward compatibility on PS5. To make sure all PS VR owners can experience the game in VR, we’re including a free digital copy of the PS4 version of Hitman 3 with all PS5 copies, whether you choose to buy it via disc or digital.”
IO announced in November that it’s working on a new James Bond game. Project 007 (working title) will challenge players to earn 00 status in “the very first James Bond origin story”.
