Hero-based racing game Disney Speedstorm announced

Disney Speedstorm, a hero based racing game, has been announced for Nintendo Switch.

Featuring characters from across Disney and Pixar, the game sees these iconic heroes and villains face off across tracks inspired by countless Disney & Pixar films.

Developed by Gameloft, characters will have various classes that complement their persona. Mickey Mouse is speed character and Sully from the Monster Inc franchise is a power character, allowing him to damage other racers.

The game is free to play and plans to release new tracks and characters in the future. Disney Speedstorm will require a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Local, split-screen co-op also features in the game.

Disney Speedstorm launches this Summer on Nintendo Switch.

Disney has recently begun releasing its classic collection of video games onto modern platforms. The Disney Classic Games Collection, which included The Lion King, The Jungle Book and Aladdin released last year.
