Here’s the first Halo Infinite Xbox Series X console unboxing video
YouTuber also shows off the limited edition Xbox Elite Series 2 controller
What appears to be the first unboxing video for the Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition bundle has been published online.
The first ever limited edition Xbox Series X console officially launches on November 15 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original Halo’s release.
But at least one fan already has access to the Halo console, which they show off in the unofficial unboxing video below. Like many previous limited edition Xbox consoles, the Halo one includes a unique boot sound which can be heard at the end of the video.
Priced at $549.99 / £479.99, the console’s design was inspired by the Halo universe and it’s wrapped with dark metallic panelling with an iridium gold accent.
Microsoft started taking pre-orders at selected retailers in August, but the initial batch was quickly snapped up and scalpers looking to cash in on demand for the product started listing it on eBay for massively inflated prices.
The bundle comes with a downloadable copy of Halo Infinite, which will be redeemable when the game is released on December 8.
Microsoft is also releasing a limited edition Xbox Elite Series 2 controller alongside the Halo Xbox Series X console. Inspired by Master Chief’s armour, with a “battle-worn, matte metallic green” finish and an iridium gold D-pad, it costs $199.99 / £179.99.
The same YouTuber who posted the console unboxing video also received their Xbox Elite Series 2 controller early.
Microsoft will celebrate Xbox’s 20th anniversary with a special digital broadcast on November 15.
“While we won’t announce any new games, this anniversary broadcast will be a special look back at 20 years of Xbox,” the company said last month.
