Hatsune Miku and local multiplayer are coming to Fortnite Festival Season 7
Fortnite’s rhythm action game is getting Hatsune Miku music and skins
Epic Games has detailed what’s coming in Fortnite Festival Season 7, with Hatsune Miku taking centre stage.
Season 7 of Fortnite Festival – the rhythm action mode developed by Harmonix – starts on January 14 and ends on April 8.
During that time players will gain access to a new Music Pass, which consists of free and premium rewards. The premium pass costs 1400 V-Bucks or can be obtained as part of the Fortnite Crew subscription service.
Players who buy the premium pass will immediately get access to the Neko Hatusne Miku Outfit, which comes with a Lego style for Lego experiences in Fortnite.
Players who reach the end of the premium pass will also unlock the Brite Hatsune Miku Style.
Along the way, other premium rewards include the Neko Miku Keytar and the Neko Miku Guitar, as well as new Jam tracks including M@GICAL☆CURE! LOVE ♥ SHOT! by Hatsune Miku, Work Work by Britney Spears, Short Skirt Long Jacket by Cake, and Love Don’t Cost a Thing by Jennifer Lopez.
Season 7 will also add the ability to play Fortnite Festival in local multiplayer, bringing the mode one step closer to becoming a modern version of Harmonix’s Guitar Hero and Rock Band series.
Local multiplayer will require every player to have active Epic Games and platform accounts, with no guest accounts allowed.
Fortnite Festival was released in December 2023 and adds a rhythm action mode to Fortnite. It’s a free-to-play game with a rotating selection of music to play either with a controller or a compatible guitar peripheral.
