GTA Trilogy remaster PC owners have been offered a free Rockstar game
Titles available include GTA V, GTA IV, Max Payne 3, LA Noire and Bully
Rockstar is offering players who’ve purchased the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition a free game.
The promotion is available to existing GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition owners and those who purchase the remaster collection by January 5, 2022.
Owners can choose to download one of seven other Rockstar products for free, including five games, which are listed below.
Free products players can choose from:
- Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition
- Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition
- Max Payne 3
- LA Noire
- Bully: Scholarship Edition
- A Great White Shark Cash Card for GTA Online
- 55 Gold Bars for Red Dead Online
The offer was announced alongside the launch of the Rockstar Store sale, which includes 50-70% off classic Rockstar PC titles, 40% off apparel and collectibles, and 20% off GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition for PC.
The Definitive Edition features in a recently published list of the worst reviewed games of 2021 alongside the likes of eFootball 2022, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood and Balan Wonderworld.
The highly anticipated remaster collection released in November with a significant number of technical issues, as well as “unintended” documents within its game files such as unlicensed music and developer notes.
Rockstar subsequently apologised to fans for the state of the game and promised a series of updates to improve the title.
Bully 2 is back in development and was even lined up for a potential appearance at The Game Awards earlier this month, it has been claimed.
