GTA Online’s latest update adds new story content and ray-traced reflections
The Los Santos Drug Wars update is available now
Rockstar has released a new Grand Theft Auto Online update which features fresh story content and introduces ray-traced reflections, among other features.
The Los Santos Drug Wars update includes six new story missions which task players with establishing a business venture selling hallucinogenics out of a mobile headquarters.
It also adds eight new vehicles and hundreds of cosmetics which are available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
Ray-traced reflections have been added to Fidelity Mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S too, allowing for vehicles, characters, and other details to be shown on reflective and glossy surfaces.
In terms of quality of life improvements, all Agatha Baker Casino Story Missions can now be played solo, there’s a new option to hide contacts from the phone, and bicycles can now be requested from the Mechanic.
A trailer for the update is viewable above, while the full patch notes can be read here.
In one of the games industry’s most high-profile data leaks, more than an hour of GTA 6 development footage was published online in September by an anonymous user who claimed to have obtained it via an internal Rockstar Slack channel.
Rockstar and its parent company Take-Two have both since claimed that the leak won’t impact the game’s development.
