Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will reportedly feature GTA V-style controls

Fresh details about Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition have seemingly leaked.

Among other features, the updated trilogy will include Grand Theft Auto V-like controls, according to what’s seemingly an official Rockstar product description uncovered by dataminer alloc8or.

“Three iconic cities, three epic stories,” it reads. “Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail.”

Customers who purchase the game through Rockstar’s online store or the Rockstar Games Launcher by January 5, 2022, will also reportedly receive a $10 discount on their next purchase through the same marketplaces.

alloc8or also recently leaked the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy achievement list.

Announced earlier this month, GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is officially set to include “graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles”.

Rockstar has said the collection will be released for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch and PC this year, before hitting mobile devices in 2022.

One retailer has suggested that the remaster package will be sold for $70 / £70 on new-gen consoles.

While the collection doesn’t have a confirmed release date, it has been claimed that it will receive a physical release on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this December.
