Google adds 10 more titles to Stadia launch line-up

Google has updated its Stadia launch line-up with the addition of 10 titles, taking the total to 22 games.

In addition to the previously confirmed launch games, users will also be able to play the likes of Final Fantasy XV, Football Manager 2020, Grid, Metro Exodus and NBA 2K20 when Stadia launches on Tuesday (new launch games are bolded in the list below).

Responding to a tweet about the increased line-up from The Verge’s Sean Hollister, Google VP and Stadia GM Phil Harrison said the company was “perhaps a little conservative in our forecast last week and (most importantly) our partners did an awesome job getting last few kinks ironed out and through testing”.

Google also said that Samurai Showdown will now be available as a free game for Stadia Pro subscribers at launch alongside the previously confirmed Destiny 2.

Borderlands 3, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Darksiders Genesis, Dragonball Xenoverse 2 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint will be released for Stadia before the end of the year.

Titles due for release beginning in 2020 include Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk, Marvel’s Avengers, Gods and Monsters, Watch Dogs Legion, The Division 2, Doom, The Crew 2 and Elder Scrolls Online.

Stadia will be released in 14 markets on November 19. However, Google has said that people who’ve pre-ordered Stadia aren’t guaranteed to receive it by that date. It aims to fulfil all pre-purchases within two weeks of launch.

Google also recently confirmed that multiple Stadia features will be missing when the platform launches including family sharing, 4K streaming on PC and an achievements UI.

To access Stadia this year, users will need to have purchased the now sold out Founder’s Edition or buy the £119 Premiere Edition, which comes with three months of Stadia Pro.

The Pro subscription, which will normally cost $9.99/£8.99 per month, offers 4K/HDR streaming with 5.1 surround sound and approximately one free game per month.

A free version of the service, Stadia Base, will offer up to 1080p streaming with stereo sound when it launches in 2020.
