Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered dated
Hitting consoles and PC via the Epic Games store in October
Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will be released on October 4, 2019.
Announced in May, the game will launch on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC via the Epic Games store.
The remaster of 2009’s Ghostbusters: The Video Game is in development at World War Z studio Saber Interactive.
The action-adventure title was penned by Ghostbusters writers and stars Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd. The pair lent their voices and in-game likenesses to the original story, as did fellow Ghostbusters Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson.
Set two years after Ghostbusters II, the game sees players take on the role of a new recruit on the Ghostbusters team, which is called into action when Manhattan gets overrun by supernatural forces.
IGN has also published the first gameplay footage, which shows the crew battling the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
