Ghost of Tsushima studio says the Steam version won’t need a PSN account for single-player

It will need one for multiplayer, however

News In Brief

Ghost of Tsushima studio Sucker Punch says a PSN account won’t be required for the upcoming Steam version, at least in single-player mode.

Following backlash over Sony‘s decision to make PSN account linking mandatory for Helldivers 2 – a decision which has since been reversed – Sucker Punch took to X to point out that it won’t be required for its game.

“Just so you are aware, A PSN account is required for Legends online multiplayer mode and to use PlayStation overlay,” it stated. “It is not required to play the singleplayer game.”

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut will be released on PC on May 16.
