The update will also enable players to establish a personal realm in Teyvat to build a homestead, accessible with a brand-new item – the Serenitea Pot.
Additional changes that will be introduced with the 1.5 update include halving the cost of claiming the first three Trounce Domain rewards per week and doubling the amount of Companionship EXP earned in co-op mode.
Genshin Impact is an open-world action RPG set in Teyvat. Players take on the role of the Traveler from another world who has been separated from their twin and embarks on a journey to find them. So far, only two of Teyvat’s seven cities (Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor) have been made available for players to visit, with the other cities set to become available at a later date.
And on Friday, miHoYo revealed the first concept art for the game’s third main region, Inazuma City, and some of its surrounding landmarks, which you can see below.
Genshin Impact was released for PS4, PC, Android, and iOS on September 28, 2020, and it has been a massive success, generating $1 billion in player spending from the App Store and Google Play within six months.
The new PS5-specific version will run at 4K resolution and will feature enhanced textures and improved loading times.
The game will remain free-to-play, and existing PS4 players will be able to transfer their progress to the new version.
