GameStop may have leaked the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater could be released in November 2024.

In a tweet published to coincide with pre-orders launching on Monday, US retailer GameStop stated that the game will be released on November 17, 2024.

Metal Gear Solid Delta’s release date has not yet been announced by publisher Konami, and product listings on GameStop’s site currently carry December 31, 2025 placeholder launch dates.

Update

GameStop has said that its pre-order post included an “incorrect release date” for the game.

There are two physical editions of the game available to pre-order for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, with the standard edition priced at $69.99 and a Collector’s Edition costing $199.99. The latter includes:

  • Miniature terrarium based on the iconic opening scene of Virtuous Mission where Naked Snake must recover his equipment bag snagged on a tree branch. Includes miniature Naked Snake figurine and tree stump with hanging bag.
  • A recreation of the fake identification badge Naked Snake uses to break into Groznyj Grad Northeast as a scientist.
  • High-quality stitched patch showing membership in the legendary FOX UNIT.
  • Unique rubber patch commemorating Naked Snake’s historic HALO parachute jump.
  • Beautiful retro style metal game case utilizing original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater artwork.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will also be released for PC via Steam.

The first story trailer for the game premiered during the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday.

Tuesday’s episode of the Official Xbox Podcast promises to deliver an extended gameplay look at the title, which is a remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
