GameStop is selling Xbox Series X/S consoles in stores today.
The US retailer confirmed the stock availability in a message sent to customers including Twitter user Wario64.
“We’ll have a limited number of Series X/S consoles available at your local GameStop store(s) for purchase, and a huge trade offer that can help you score one for less $,” the retailer said.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella claimed in January that Xbox Series X/S had enjoyed a record launch.

“The launch of Xbox Series X and Series S was the most successful in our history with the most devices ever sold in a launch month,” he said.
Microsoft reportedly shipped almost 3.5 million Xbox Series X/S consoles in 2020.
And according to Ampere Analysis, a combined total of 1.31 million Xbox Series X/S consoles were sold in the first calendar quarter of 2021.
Microsoft didn’t provide Xbox Series X/S shipment figures with its earnings results for the first three months of 2021, only noting that hardware revenue was up 232 percent year-over-year “driven by continued demand” for the new consoles, which it expects to be in short supply until at least the end of June.
Microsoft recently confirmed that it plans to bridge the console generation gap by making “many” Xbox Series X/S games playable on Xbox One via cloud gaming.
“For the millions of people who play on Xbox One consoles today, we are looking forward to sharing more about how we will bring many of these next-gen games, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator, to your console through Xbox Cloud Gaming, just like we do with mobile devices, tablets, and browsers,” it said on Sunday.
