Featuring announcements and new content from over 15 game publishers
Gamescom 2019 launches on Monday with a new live streamed event produced by Geoff Keighley and Kimmie H. Kim, executive producers of annual industry show The Game Awards.
Titled Gamescom: Opening Night Live, it’ll air on Monday at 8pm CEST (7pm UK / 2pm EDT / 11am PDT), ahead of the trade fair running from August 20 to August 24 in Cologne, Germany.
An audience of over 1,000 people are expected to attend the event. You can tune in from home in a variety of ways, including via YouTube, Twitch and Mixer, while we’ve embedded the live stream at the top of this page too.
The show will run for about two hours and feature 25 games, according to Keighley. Over 15 game publishers will premiere new content and make announcements during Opening Night Live, including 2K, Activision, Bungie, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Google Stadia, Deep Silver, Private Division, Sega, Square Enix, Sony, THQ Nordic, Ubisoft and Microsoft.
Hideo Kojima will provide a fresh look at Death Stranding, while there’ll be indie game announcements too.
Other Gamescom highlights on Monday include an Inside Xbox live stream, a Nintendo Switch indie games showcase and a Stadia Connect live stream. Check out our Gamescom 2019 full live stream schedule for further details.
