Game Pass: What time does Avowed go live?

Avowed is released today on Xbox, PC and Game Pass, but it goes live at a specific time.

Whereas Xbox games sometimes become available at midnight in each time zone around the world, this isn’t always the case.

Avowed is one such game that will be released at exactly the same time globally, meaning its release time will be different depending on where you live.

Of course, if you purchased the Avowed Premium Edition then none of this is relevant to you – Premium Edition early access went live on February 13 so it’s been available for a while.

For everyone else, while you can currently pre-install Avowed in preparation for its release, the game won’t actually boot until the release time.

Here, then, is when you can play Avowed in your region. For anyone living elsewhere, adjust your time zone accordingly.

• USA (Pacific Time) – Tuesday, February 18 at 10am
• USA (Eastern Time) – Tuesday, February 18 at 1pm
• UK (GMT) – Tuesday, February 18 at 6pm
• Europe (CET) – Tuesday, February 18 at 7pm
• South Korea (KST) – Wednesday, February 19 at 3am
• Japan (JST) – Wednesday, February 19 at 3am
• Australia (AEDT) – Wednesday, February 19 at 5am
• New Zealand (NZDT) – Wednesday, February 19 at 7am

Avowed: Can I play it on Xbox Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass PC?

Avowed is available on Xbox Game Pass on day one, but not every tier of Xbox Game Pass will be able to access it.

Game Pass Core

Game Pass Core offers online multiplayer and a curated catalogue of back catalogue games, but doesn’t include new titles on day one. Avowed will not be available if you’re an Xbox Game Pass Core subscriber.

Xbox Game Pass Standard

The Standard tier of Xbox Game Pass has a much larger library of games than Core, but doesn’t include new titles on day one either. Avowed will not be available on Game Pass Standard, but will likely be added to it some time in the coming months.

Game Pass Ultimate

Game Pass Ultimate not only offers cloud gaming and an EA Play membership, it also includes numerous day one releases. Avowed is available on Game Pass Ultimate, meaning you can play it as soon as it’s released.

PC Game Pass

As the name suggests, PC Game Pass is a version of Game Pass that only focuses on PC games, and doesn’t provide access to console or cloud games. It does include some of the features from Ultimate, however, including an EA Play membership and day one releases, meaning Avowed is available on Game Pass PC as soon as it’s out.

Normal purchase

If you don’t subscribe to Game Pass and just want to buy the game normally, Avowed is available to pre-order on the Xbox Store, Steam and Battle.net, and will go live at the same times listed above.
