The company premiered a first look at real gameplay on Tuesday
Nintendo has published over 40 Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom screenshots showing scenes from Tuesday’s gameplay video.
In a 13-minute video published earlier today, Nintendo showed 10 minutes of gameplay footage from the much-anticipated Nintendo Switch sequel, narrated by series producer Eiji Aonuma.
The footage shows off Link’s new abilities in detail, including the ability to ‘rewind’ scenery and fuse items together to create new weapons and traversal options.
Nintendo also announced a special edition Switch OLED console themed around The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which will launch on April 28 with a suggested retail price of $359.99.
A Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Switch Pro Controller ($74.99) and carrying case ($24.99) were also announced on Tuesday. They’ll arrive alongside the game itself, which will be released on May 12 following a number of delays.
