In a trailer published following its latest Pokémon Presents broadcast, Game Freak has shown the first look at the gameplay of the next entry in the Pokémon Legends series.
The upcoming RPG, which The Pokémon Company has confirmed is still planned for release this year, takes place in Lumiose City.
Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile will serve as the starter Pokémon in the game. The game will once again feature wild roaming Pokémon. This time, Pokémon will be contained to wild areas throughout the city, as opposed to being catchable in every area in the city.
Players will visit the back alleys and streets of the city, as well as its rooftops. Biomes within the city will seemingly replicate wild areas not traditionally found in cities, this time being used as a habitat for Pokémon.
The trailer also teased Zygarde and Zygarde cells.
