Frostpunk 2 gameplay and Game Pass day one release revealed
The city survival game will debut on PC ahead of its console release
11 Bit Studios has released the first gameplay trailer for Frostpunk 2 and confirmed plans to launch the title on Game Pass.
Frostpunk 2 will be released for PC in the first half of 2024 and will be available with PC Game Pass at launch.
It will also be available on Game Pass for console when it hits Xbox Series X/S at a later date. The game is coming to PS5 too.
“Discover a city-survival game set 30 years after an apocalyptic blizzard ravaged Earth, transforming our world into a harsh, icy wasteland,” reads a product description.
“In Frostpunk 2, you must face a new deadly threat that appears on the horizon – human nature and its unsatiated thirst for power.”
11 Bit Studios billed the original Frostpunk as “the first society survival game”.
Released for PC in 2018 and for consoles the following year, it challenges players to manage the citizens and infrastructure of the last city on Earth.
It was well received by critics, earning it scores of 87 (PS4) and 84 (Xbox One and PC) on review aggregation site Metacritic.
