Free Vanguard and Warzone gifts ‘worth $20’ being given to players following Season 2 delay
Activision is also running a double XP weekend for the games
Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone players are being given a free content bundle and Battle Pass tier skips reportedly worth $20.
Publisher Activision said it’s offering players the free gifts as a thank you after it delayed the launch of Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 2 due to various issues with the games and 2019’s Modern Warfare.
The publisher is running a four-day Vanguard and Warzone double XP event kicking off on February 18 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
During this period, Vanguard and Warzone players can pick up the new Forbidden Sacrifice Bundle ahead of its release via in-game stores.
“This nine-item bundle includes a Legendary Operator Skin, two Legendary Weapon Blueprints – one reliable SMG kitted for tactical close-range engagements and a fast-firing Assault Rifle equipped with attachments that help keep you off the radar – and a Battle Pass Tier Skip… completely free,” Activision said.
“In addition to this free bundle, players will also get 10 free Battle Pass Tier Skips – 11 total across the bundle; over $20 USD in total value.”
Players should receive the bundle just by logging into either game between the start of the double XP event and its finish on February 22 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm GMT.
Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 2 launched on February 14 following a 12-day delay.
Last week, Activision confirmed that Modern Warfare studio Infinity Ward is leading the development of 2022’s premium Call of Duty game and “Warzone experiences”.
An Operator skin modelled after rapper Snoop Dogg is seemingly coming to Warzone, according to recently leaked concept art.
