Forza Horizon 5 is getting its own limited edition Xbox controller
Pre-orders are now live for the translucent yellow controller
A limited edition controller based on Forza Horizon 5 has been revealed.
The controller is made of translucent bright yellow plastic – enabling players to see the rumble motors – with light blue and pink paint splatters over it. The D-Pad is white, while the analogue sticks are light blue and pink.
According to Xbox, the colour is inspired by the power fireworks that go off throughout the day during the in-game Horizon Festival.
It also comes with exclusive DLC for a Forza edition car, cosmetic item, and a victory emote.
The Forza Horizon controller is the latest in a line of special edition coloured controllers Microsoft has released since the launch of the Xbox Series X and S.
Earlier this month it also announced the Aqua Shift Special Edition, which is available on August 31 at a price of $69.99 and comes in a special blue colour that gives off a ‘shimmering’ effect.
Last month three new Xbox Series X/S controller designs were released to tie in with the Space Jam: A New Legacy movie.
Back in March, Xbox announced two other controller colours, called Electric Volt and Daystrike Camo.
The Electric Volt controller featured a “high-energy, yellow resin not yet seen on Xbox hardware” and was “inspired by the energy and vibrance often found in athletic apparel and sneaker design”.
The Daystrike Camo Special Edition controller, meanwhile, was the third in the Camo series of controllers, following on from the Night Ops Camo and Arctic Camo controllers previously released for Xbox One hardware.
The Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition controller will be released on November 11, two days after the game, and pre-orders are now live.
A Forza Horizon 5 video showing off the opening eight minutes of gameplay was also released on Tuesday.
