Fortnite is launching a $12 monthly subscription service featuring exclusive outfits and accessories
Fortnite Crew will arrive alongside Chapter 2 – Season 5 on December 2
Epic Games will launch a monthly Fortnite subscription service when the game’s new season debuts next month.
Priced at $11.99 (£9.99) and cancellable at any time, the Fortnite Crew subscription offer will go live alongside Chapter 2 – Season 5 on December 2.
Epic says subscribers will receive the following each month:
- Battle Pass included for the full Season – As a member of the Fortnite Crew, you’ll always have access to the current season’s Battle Pass
- 1,000 V-Bucks each month – Fortnite Crew members will receive 1,000 V-Bucks every month
- Get a new monthly Crew Pack – Get an exclusive Fortnite Crew Pack, an always-new Outfit Bundle that only Fortnite Crew members can get
Epic says Fortnite Crew Packs will never be sold or given away to non-subscribers. The first one will include a Galaxia Outfit and Style plus the Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe and Fractured World Back Bling.
Members who choose to cancel their subscription will keep all previously awarded Battle Passes, V-Bucks and Crew Packs.
Players who have already purchased the current season’s Battle Pass will get 950 V-Bucks returned to their account should they sign up to a Fortnite Crew subscription.
Epic is also replacing the Battle Bundle with a bundle of 25 levels, available to players at level 75 or lower at any time, once per season, for 1,850 V-Bucks.
Marvel-themed Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4 will conclude with a fight against Galactus in a live Nexus War finale event on December 1 at 4pm ET/1pm PT/9pm UK.
