Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4 will be Marvel-themed
Thor teased for new season launching on August 27
Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4 will be Marvel-themed.
It will launch on August 27 and include Thor, according to a teaser tweeted by Epic on Friday.
Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 3 launched in mid-June and freshened things up by flooding the battle royale island.
Over time the water receded, revealing fresh areas to explore and opening up the roadways, which were populated with driveable cars for the first time in the game.
Epic is holding an in-game Fortnite event this weekend themed around its legal dispute with Apple. The #FreeFornite Cup will celebrate “one more Victory Royale with friends across all platforms” on August 23.
Last week Apple removed Fortnite from the App Store, following Epic’s move to circumvent its fees with a new direct payment option. In retaliation, Epic filed a lawsuit against Apple and called on its fans to support the move.
“These are the final days of the entire Fortnite community’s ability to play together,” Epic said on Thursday. “Apple has blocked Fortnite from the App Store, preventing players from updating to new versions.
“Players on iOS devices will be left behind on Chapter 2 – Season 3 while everyone else jumps into the Chapter 2 – Season 4 launch on August 27.”
Google also removed Fortnite from its Play Store this month, prompting a legal response from Epic.
