First Rage 2 expansion Rise of the Ghosts released

Rage 2’s first story expansion, Rise of the Ghosts, is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Priced at $15/£12, it introduces a new story and missions, a fresh world location and enemy faction, a new weapon and a new ability.

“Under the watchful eyes of Iris, the Ghosts will prove to be a formidable new foe for Ranger Walker,” Bethesda says. “He’ll need to navigate a huge new region called the Overgrown City and put a stop to their uprising before the Ghosts can gain a foothold in the wasteland.

“Luckily, he’ll have the new Void ability and the Feltrite Laser Launcher to add to his already-impressive arsenal. Rise of the Ghosts also introduces the new Ghost Motorcycle to the game, which players will be able to find in the Overgrown City and bring back to their Garage.”

A second premium Rage 2 expansion is scheduled for release in November.

VGC’s Rage 2 review said the game was let down somewhat by its open world elements, but that the “abilities, weapons and controls combine to create some of the best shooting in the genre.”
