First Princess Peach Showtime review in Famitsu says it’s short but ideal for beginners

The first review of Princess Peach Showtime has been published in Japanese magazine Famitsu.

According to a summary of the latest issue posted by Ryokutya2089, Famitsu gave Nintendo‘s latest Mario title a combined score of 33/40.

This was the result of its four reviewers scoring the game 9, 8, 8 and 8.

The review reportedly says the game gives players the best of “Peach’s coolness and cuteness”, and is fun to both play and watch.

It also says the game is a little on the short side but is otherwise very well-made and is a good introduction to action games for younger players.

Princess Peach Showtime is set to be released on March 22.

In a recent hands-on preview, VGC wrote: “As its marketing suggests, Princess Peach: Showtime! really embraces the stage theme, with a ton of gameplay variety and charm packed into a tight production.

“In just an hour, we were able to play through four stages, with each typically comprising a unique mechanic, setpiece and ‘boss’ challenge.”

Nintendo released a Princess Peach Showtime demo earlier this month, allowing players to try out the Swordfighter Peach and Patissiere Peach transformations.

The release of the demo, however, also led to the game’s developer being seemingly unearthed by a dataminer.

According to credible dataminer LuigiBlood, the files found in the demo reveal a naming convention similar to that used by Good-Feel, the developer behind such games as Wario Land: Shake It, Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Yoshi’s Woolly World.
