Final Fantasy 7 Remake gets 23 new screenshots
Key character artwork for the upcoming PS4 game also released
Square Enix has released 23 new Final Fantasy VII Remake screenshots.
They show off various features including some of Cloud’s battle abilities, weapon enhancement and abilities screens, environments including a church in the slums and Aerith’s home, and mini-games including darts and bike battles which see Cloud and Jessie attempting to flee Shinra operatives.
Square Enix has also released seven pieces of artwork for key characters including Aerith, Barret, Reno, Rude, Biggs, Jessie and Wedge.
Final Fantasy VII Remake, which is set to release exclusively for PS4 on March 3, 2020, won Best of Show in the Game Critics Awards at E3 in June.
Square Enix released a Final Fantasy VII gameplay video featuring a battle between Cloud, Tifa, Aerith and an Abzu in September, along with fresh screenshots and the first look at the game’s box art.
Announced at E3 2015, Final Fantasy VII Remake is an episodic project that’s expected to span several releases. Director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed on Monday that work on the second game in the project is underway.
