Electronic Arts has confirmed that FIFA 21 will be added to the EA Play and Xbox Game Pass libraries on May 6.

The latest entry in EA’s blockbuster football franchise will be available to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC players via EA Play, and for Xbox Game Pass subscribers too.

Mario Kart Live developer Velan Studios’ team-based multiplayer game Knockout City, which is published by EA, will also be available through EA Play and Xbox Game Pass when it’s released on May 21.

Madden NFL 21 and Star Wars: Squadrons joined EA Play and Xbox Game Pass in March, ahead of NHL 21 in April.

Since November 2020, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on console have received an EA Play membership at no additional cost, granting members unlimited access to full versions of selected EA back catalogue games.

EA Play was then added to Xbox Game Pass for PC in March 2021, following a three-month delay.

Subscribers also get early access trials of many new EA games and receive a 10 percent discount on EA digital purchases.

EA Play is priced at $4.99/£3.99 per month or $29.99/£19.99 annually.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate normally costs $14.99/£10.99 per month, although a one-month trial is currently available for $1/£1.

13 EA games were updated last week to enable Microsoft’s FPS Boost feature on Xbox Series X/S, including Star Wars, Battlefield and Titanfall titles.

FPS Boost is a system-level feature that increases performance in select backwards compatible titles, allowing supported Xbox One games run at up to four times their original frame rate.
