FIFA 21 gameplay trailer showcases creative runs, new dribbling and collision systems

Latest series entry releasing in October

Electronic Arts has released a FIFA 21 trailer showcasing several new gameplay features in the upcoming release.

They include Agile Dribbling, which EA says enables players to be more creative in one-on-one situations, Creative Runs which create new off the ball moments in build-up play, a reimagined collision system, plus updates to passing and blocking.

An accompanying website update goes into extra details on the new features.

EA revealed in July that FIFA 21 will feature new co-operative experiences for Volta, the street football mode introduced in FIFA 20, and FIFA Ultimate Team.

The FIFA 21 release date is October 9, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Origin and Steam, but EA Access members can trial the game from October 1.

In an announcement premiered in its EA Play Live event in June, EA said the yet-to-be-dated next-gen version of FIFA 21 will feature “blazing fast” load times, deferred lighting and rendering, enhanced animation technology, “off-ball humanisation,” and more.

It also confirmed that FIFA 21 will support its Dual Entitlement scheme, meaning players can upgrade their copy from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X at no extra cost.
