FIFA 20 holds off Ghost Recon Breakpoint in UK chart
Ghostbusters: Remastered also debuts in physical sales top 10
FIFA 20 retained the top spot on the UK all formats chart during the week ended October 5.
It marked the second consecutive week at No.1 for EA’s latest football game, which recorded the biggest physical launch week sales of 2019 in the UK following its late September release.
FIFA 20 held off competition from new entry Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, which debuted at No.2 despite negative reviews.
VGC’s Ghost Recon: Breakpoint review said the open-world sequel “has an identity crisis”. See what other critics thought in our Ghost Recon: Breakpoint review round-up.
The second-highest new entry was Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered at No.6. Developed by World War Z studio Saber Interactive, the remaster of 2009’s action adventure game is available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via the Epic Games store, although it’s worth noting that digital sales aren’t included in UKIE/GfK UK charts data.
