FIFA 20 demo out now for PS4, Xbox One and PC
Sample Volta street football and the Champions League; top 100 player ratings also revealed
Electronic Arts has released a FIFA 20 demo for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
It lets players sample the title’s new Volta street football mode with a match of 3v3 Rush (no goalkeepers and with small goals) in an Amsterdam underpass.
The demo also lets users play as Liverpool, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, PSG, Real Madrid and Tottenham in a Champions League group stage match at Santiago Bernabéu, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium or Stamford Bridge.
The in-game ratings for the top 100 FIFA 20 players were revealed on Monday, with Lionel Messi taking the top spot (94/100 overall rating) ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo (93) and Neymar (92).
EA has confirmed a FIFA 20 release date of September 27, 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, although those who pre-order (Amazon/Best Buy) selected editions of the game will get early access.
EA Access and Origin Access members will be the first to be able to play FIFA 20 though, with an exclusive trial kicking off on September 19.
FIFA 20 Legacy Edition will also be released on Nintendo Switch on September 27, although it won’t include any of the “big new features” included in other editions of the game like Volta.
In August, VGC revealed that David Rutter, who led the FIFA franchise for over a decade, has relocated to Sweden to oversee DICE, Criterion and Ghost Games as group general manager of EA Studios Europe.
