Fallout star claims season 2 ‘blows the first one out of the water’

Fallout star Walton Goggins has claimed that fans can look forward to something special when season 2 of the Amazon show is released.

Goggins, who portrays the Ghoul in the Fallout adaptation, talked up the new season during an interview with Deadline.

“We’re in the middle of filming it right now,” he said. “We’ve been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought season 1 was extraordinary, personally I was very pleased with it.

“This blows it out of the water, you know what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story,” he continued. “It’s really going to be something and I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen.”

Released last April, Fallout’s first season scored a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 94% and has an audience score of 90%.

It debuted as one of Prime Video’s top three most watched titles and earned 16 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series.

“Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have,” reads an official description of the show.

“200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind — and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

It was recently claimed that Macaulay Culkin has joined the Fallout season 2 cast. He’ll reportedly play a crazy genius-type character in a recurring role.
