Fallout 4 was Europe’s best-selling game in April as console sales fell 47%
PS5 exclusive Stellar Blade was the highest new entry on the software chart
Fallout games took three of the top 10 places on the European sales chart last month.
That’s according to GSD data published by GamesIndustry.biz, which covers physical game sales from major markets and digital sales from most leading publishers, excluding Nintendo and 505 Games.
Bethesda’s game took the No.1 spot on the back of some heavy discounts coinciding with the release of Amazon’s popular Fallout TV show.
Fallout 4 also received its long-awaited next-gen update last month, allowing players who own the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game to upgrade to native PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions for free.
Fallout 76 charted at No.7 on April’s chart, while Fallout: New Vegas was at No.10 and Fallout 3 at No.14.
EA Sports FC 24 narrowly claimed the No.2 spot ahead of Helldivers 2, while Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 rounded off the top five.
New entries included Stellar Blade at No.9, TopSpin 2K25 at No.12, and No Rest For The Wicked at No.13.
On the hardware front, console sales were down 47% compared to April 2023 following notable drops for PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.
Sales of accessories fell almost 17% year-over-year, with PS5’s DualSense Controller holding the No.1 position from the previous month.
