Fall Guys is not coming to Xbox Game Pass, its publisher says
Devolver Digital denies claim that the game is headed to Microsoft’s subscription service
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout publisher Devolver Digital has said it has “no plans” to bring the title to Xbox Game Pass.
The company issued a statement on Wednesday after the official Xbox Game Pass Instagram account suggested Fall Guys was set to join Microsoft’s subscription service.
The official Fall Guys Twitter account also apologised for any confusion.
“Sorry – there has been a bit of a mixup – Fall Guys is not coming to Xbox Game Pass!” it said.
Fall Guys released for Steam and PS4 in August 2020, with the console version available for free to PlayStation Plus members that month.
The game quickly became the most downloaded PS Plus title of all time and has sold over 11 million copies on PC, according to developer Mediatonic.
Shortly after Fall Guys released for PS4 and PC, Mediatonic said it would “love” to bring the colourful last man standing game to other platforms in the future.
In a since-removed update on its support site regarding the possibility of releasing the game for Xbox One, Switch or other platforms, Mediatonic said: “To start with, Fall Guys will only be available on PS4 and Steam. We’d love to bring the game to other platforms further down the line.”
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout’s third season, Winter Knockout, launched on December 15.
