F1 2019 game and release date revealed
New F1 game racing onto PS4, Xbox One and PC on Friday June 28
Codemasters has announced F1 2019, the official game of the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship.
While the last three games in the series were released in August, the newest entry will arrive earlier in the F1 season — the F1 2019 release date is Friday June 28 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Codemasters said in a blog post that F1 2019 has been in development for almost two years, making it the “most ambitious” release in the franchise’s history.
It’ll introduce a 2019 regulation car designed in collaboration with F1’s technical team, featuring custom liveries and drivable in multiplayer.
F1 2019 game director Lee Mather said: “With the continued growth of the F1 series, it’s great to give players more control and new levels of car and driver customisation and we can’t wait to talk more about this alongside the new multiplayer features in the coming months.”
A brief trailer teasing F1 2019’s “brand new look and feel” was released to accompany the game’s announcement.
