The Epic Games Store’s next free title has been announced
Duskers will replace Warpips, which is currently free to download
The Epic Games Store’s next free title has been revealed.
Sci-fi game Duskers will be free to claim from Epic’s PC marketplace from February 23 until March 2.
It will replace Warpips, which is now free to download until February 23.
“In Duskers you pilot drones into derelict spaceships to find the means to survive and piece together how the universe became a giant graveyard,” according to the game’s developer and publisher, Misfits Attic.
“In film terms it’s The Road meets the first Alien movie. In game terms: It’s a roguelike with elements of dungeon crawling and real time strategy, but in a survival horror setting that focuses on subterfuge, and adapting to survive.”
Duskers was well received by critics when it was released in 2016, earning it an 83 score on review aggregation site Metacritic.
Fortnite maker Epic Games recently agreed to pay over half a billion dollars to settle a pair of complaints brought against it by the US Federal Trade Commission.
In two separate record-breaking settlements, it was announced that Epic would pay a $275 million penalty for violating the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and $245 million to refund consumers tricked into making unwanted charges.
