Epic Games store extends one free game per week offer
Will now be available until the end of 2019
The Epic Games store’s weekly free game offer has been extended until the end of the year.
The company originally launched a bi-monthly free game offer alongside the PC storefront in December 2018, but it said in mid-May that it was increasing the frequency of the offer to one free game per week for the duration of the Epic Games store’s first major sale, which is offering $10 off when you buy any game costing at least $14.99 until June 13.
However, at E3 this week Epic said it’s extending the free weekly game offer until the end of 2019. Raw Fury’s Kingdom New Lands is currently available for free until June 13, when it will be replaced by Dodge Roll’s Enter the Gungeon.
According to Epic, there have been more than 25 million free game installs to date. The company also said in March that it’s planning to bring Ubisoft back catalogue titles to its free game programme.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the PC version of Shenmue III will be released exclusively through the Epic Games store, as will fellow PC releases Auto Chess, Chivalry 2, Untitled Goose Game and Zombie Army 4: Dead War.
