Elden Ring Nightrein’s beta test is coming in February

A network test for Elden Ring: Nightreign will be held in February, publisher Bandai Namco has announced.

Registration for the test will start on January 10. Players can sign up on the game’s official website. The network test will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles. There is currently no information on a PC version of the test.

“The network test is a preliminary verification test in which the selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full game launch,” reads the site.

“Various technical verifications of online systems will be examined by conducting large-scale network load tests.”

Announced on stage at The Game Awards, Elden Ring: Nightreign will allow multiple players to take on bosses in co-op gameplay.

The game will be published by Bandai Namco and will be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, and PC.

Released in February 2022, Elden Ring is comfortably From Software’s biggest commercial hit, having shipped over 25 million copies according to its developer.

This summer, Miyazaki said there was outside interest in making an Elden Ring adaptation, possibly a film.

PlayStation maker Sony is in talks to acquire From Software’s parent company, Kadokawa Corporation.
