EA tells Battlefield fans to ‘tune in tomorrow’ for the first testing news
The publisher is about to ramp up its reveal campaign for the next Battlefield
EA has told Battlefield fans to “tune in” to its social channels on Monday for news on a testing program for the next Battlefield Game.
“Tune in tomorrow at 5PM CET / 8AM PDT for more on the upcoming #Battlefield community testing program,” it wrote on social media, along with a concept art image of the unnamed shooter sequel.
The next Battlefield game has been in production at multiple internal studios for several years. EA revealed the first details on the new Battlefield late last year, alongside confirmation it would hold community testing in 2025.
“We’re building a connected universe set in the modern day, for players filled with Battlefield experiences, all of them built with our unique DNA,” Byron Beede, group general manager for Battlefield, said at the time.
“I also want to share with you that internally, we’ve been playing the game nearly daily for well over a year,” he added. “In addition to internal testing cycles, we’re already testing with players, and we plan to introduce a new large-scale, community-driven testing programme early next year.”
EA announced last year that Dead Space remake and Star Wars: Squadrons studio Motive had joined its wider Battlefield development team. Motive is working alongside fellow internal studios DICE, Criterion and Ripple Effect on the new Battlefield.
Beede said DICE is “leading the charge on multiplayer”, while Criterion is “driving content and experiences across single player and multiplayer”.
