UFC confirms EA’s UFC 4 game will be revealed this month
Reveal set for July 11’s fight event
EA will reveal the UFC 4 game at the MMA firm’s next event on Saturday, July 11.
The news was confirmed in a poster published by the UFC, in which it confirms the EA Sports title will debut a reveal trailer.
UFC 4 has not yet been officially announced, although a logo for the game was discovered on PlayStation’s servers last month.
EA also invited community players to join a PS4 and Xbox One closed beta test for “the next UFC game” in June. Signs ups are available on the company’s website, and in a message to fans it said the test would begin soon.
According to sports journalist Brian Mazique, who was speaking in a Fight Guys video, boxers heavyweight boxers Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have agreed a deal to appear in UFC 4 as playable characters.
EA has previously included boxers in the UFC game series, including former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson.
According to Mazique, UFC 4 will feature a career mode that “isn’t drastically changed” from the previous game and instead focuses on creating and levelling up a custom fighter.
UFC 4 will release for both current and next-gen consoles, according to the journalist’s sources.
