EA Play is finally joining Xbox Game Pass for PC on March 18
It was originally due to be made available in December 2020
EA Play will be added to Xbox Game Pass for PC this Thursday, March 18, following a three-month delay.
Since November 2020, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on console have received an EA Play membership at no additional cost, granting members unlimited access to full versions of selected EA back catalogue games.
EA Play was originally also due to be added to Xbox Game Pass for PC in mid-December, but its introduction was delayed to 2021 at the last minute.
An imminent rollout on PC was hinted at on Tuesday when a tweet from the EA Play account said Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members would be granted access to EA Play for PC “soon”. It will be available from 2pm PT/5pm ET/9pm GMT on March 18.
Members will receive access to over 60 of EA’s PC games including Star Wars: Squadrons, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, FIFA 20, Titanfall 2 and Need for Speed Heat, plus entries in its Battlefield, Madden NFL, Command & Conquer and The Sims series.
Subscribers also get early access trials of many new EA games and receive a 10 percent discount on EA digital purchases.
EA Play is normally priced at $4.99/£3.99 per month or $29.99/£19.99 annually. To get started, users will need to download the EA Desktop app, which is currently in open beta, and sign-in to an EA account or create one.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate normally costs $14.99/£10.99 per month, although a one-month trial is currently available for $1/£1.
