E3 leaker warned by Nintendo not to reveal its announcements
Tweeter who accurately leaked Microsoft and Bethesda E3 details threatened with legal action
A Twitter user who has been accurately leaking E3 information has been warned by Nintendo not to do the same ahead of its upcoming Direct presentation.
American tweeter Sabi accurately predicted numerous pieces of information before they were officially revealed at E3, including the reveal of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the new multiplayer mode in Doom Eternal, the couch co-op in Battletoads and Bethesda‘s two new IPs, Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo.
Sabi also leaked information on Microsoft‘s Scarlett console the day before it was revealed, including its support for 8K and 120fps, as well as its proposed support for four generations’ worth of games.
Sabi then promised they’d leak information about the Nintendo E3 Direct presentation on Tuesday, but later tweeted that they wouldn’t be doing so because they’d been contacted by a lawyer representing Nintendo.
“I have been given a cease and desist from a lawyer representing Nintendo,” Sabi stated on Twitter. “They have my full name and everything. This means I’m not allowed to post any private trade secrets from Nintendo Co Ltd.”
Nintendo’s E3 presentation will take place on Tuesday 11 June at 09:00 (PT) / 12:00 (ET) / 17:00 (UK).
