E3 2021 registration for fans, industry professionals and influencers opens next week
Consumers must sign up to access the official portal and app
Fan registration for E3 2021 will go live on June 3, show organiser the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has confirmed.
Media registration for the event is now live, while industry professionals and creators/influencers can sign up from May 31.
A live E3 2021 broadcast will be available for everyone on platforms including Twitch, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook, but consumers who sign up to the free E3 2021 portal and app will receive access to exclusive features.
The ESA has said they will serve as a key hub throughout the event, offering fans and media an “interactive experience” featuring virtual exhibitor booths, places to hang and chat with other users, and gamified show elements.
The online portal will open on June 7 for a media week offering early access to exhibitors, ahead of public access from June 12, which is the first day of E3’s live broadcast.
E3 2021 takes place from June 12-15. The ESA said the live broadcast will feature major publisher showcases, press conferences, panels and more.
It will be hosted by Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez, Jacki Jing and Greg Miller, and feature interactive overlays powered by Hovercast, displaying viewer polls and featured tweets.
Games companies confirmed to be participating in the event include Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Ubisoft, Take-Two, Warner Bros. Games, Koch Media, Sega, Square Enix and Bandai Namco.
The Game Awards founder Geoff Keighley recently announced plans for Summer Game Fest, including a ‘Kick Off Live’ show featuring world premieres on June 10 – two days before E3 officially launches.
