Digital Eclipse is releasing a Tetris collection called Tetris Forever
The compilation is the third game in the Gold Master Series
Retro specialist Digital Eclipse is releasing a compilation of Tetris games.
Tetris Forever is the next game in Digital Eclipse’s Gold Master Series, and will include “more than 15” playable games from the series’ history, some of which are being released outside of Japan for the first time.
These will include:
- An “accurate recreation” of the original version on the Electronika 60 computer
- The 1988 Famicom version
- Tetris 2 + Bombliss
- Tetris Battle Gaiden
- Hatris
- Super Bombliss
- Super Bombliss DX
- Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss
- Super Tetris 3
As the next Gold Master Series entry, Tetris Forever will also include more than anhour of documentary featurettes “exploring the lifelong friendship and creative partnership between Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov and The Tetris Company founder Henk Rogers, as they share the extraordinary but true story about Tetris that you never knew”.
It will also include a brand new game called Tetris Time Warp, where the player jumps between game styles throughout the history of the series.
The first two Gold Master Series games were The Making of Karateka and Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story.
Both entries, like Atari 50 before it, presented the player with a series of interactive timelines featuring playable games alongside artwork, design documents, marketing material and videos.
