Diablo 4 is reportedly in development for Switch 2
A Switch 2 port of Diablo 4 could be released as early as this year, it’s claimed
A Switch 2 port of Diablo 4 is currently in the works, it’s claimed.
That’s according to eXputer writer eXtas1s, who in the past has had a strong track record of revealing upcoming Game Pass titles ahead of their official confirmation.
In his latest video discussing the Switch 2 and the various reports and leaks surrounding its software, eXtas1s initially acknowledges a claim made earlier this month from reliable insider NateTheHate that Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator are coming to Switch 2.
“These are two of the video games Microsoft will port to Switch 2, but they aren’t the only ones,” eXtas1s stated in his video.
“In fact, here’s a little bit of an exclusive or scoop I can tell you about. According to what I’ve been told, Diablo 4 is already in the works for Nintendo Switch 2, so it wouldn’t be surprising at all if Diablo 4 was released in 2025 on Switch 2.”
He then went on to state that a Call of Duty game was a certainty given Microsoft’s previous commitment, and also suggested Fallout 4, Starfield, Tekken 8 and Elden Ring could also be coming to Switch 2, though these discussions were more speculative and presented with less certainty than his Diablo 4 claim.
News about Microsoft bringing more games to other consoles is met with somewhat less surprise these days, following the company’s commitment to getting Xbox games on as many devices as possible.
Xbox first announced in February 2024 plans to bring a wave of games to PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, in what appeared to be a significant change of strategy, starting with Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Grounded.
Later, Microsoft announced Doom: The Dark Ages for Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PS5 and confirmed that a PS5 version of its Indiana Jones game will be released later this year. The Outer Worlds 2 is also planned for PS5.
