Diablo 4 has a free trial on PC this weekend
Players can try the game out until October 30
A free trial period for the PC version of Diablo 4 has just started.
As announced on the official Diablo Twitter account, players can take part in the the free trial now by visiting the game’s Battle.net shop page.
The trial will last until October 30, at which point it will end and players will have to buy the game if they want to continue.
Players will be able to play up to Level 20 in the trial, and presumably progress will continue should they wish to buy the game and keep playing after it ends.
Released in June for PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Diablo 4 is World of Warcraft studio Blizzard’s fastest-selling title to date, according to its publisher.
Activision Blizzard, which was acquired by Microsoft earlier this month, has claimed that over 10 million players “experienced” Diablo 4 during its launch month.
Diablo 4 Season 2, which is titled Season of Blood, launched on October 17, coinciding with the game’s Steam release.
It includes a new questline in which players recruit a vampire hunter voiced by actress Gemma Chan.
Anyone hoping Xbox’s recent acquisition of Blizzard will mean Diablo 4 could be added to Xbox Game Pass may have to wait a little longer for that to happen.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer said earlier this month that players shouldn’t expect the company to start adding Activision Blizzard titles to Game Pass until 2024.
