Diablo 4 art ‘appears online’ as BlizzCon reveal expected
Art book showcases character Lilith from Diablo 2
A Blizzard art book has reportedly confirmed the existence of Diablo 4, with a BlizzCon reveal expected.
The Art of Diablo book first appeared in a German magazine advert this month, which claimed that the upcoming book would contain “more than 500 artworks from Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Diablo 3 and Diablo 4.”
On Saturday an image appeared online claiming to show a page from the book. The image features Lilith, a character who appeared briefly in Diablo 2. Lilith will be ‘reimagined’ for Diablo 4, the image claims.
As pointed out by Resetera, the art for Lilith matches that of a character who was set to feature on a cancelled Diablo comic from Titan last year.

Blizzard’s annual showcase, BlizzCon, is set to take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California on November 1 and 2.
An earlier Kotaku report had claimed Blizzard was planning to announce a new Diablo game at the event, after delaying earlier plans to unveil it at 2018’s showcase.
According to the publication’s sources, Diablo 4 has been in development since 2016 and features a “gross” and “dark” art style in deliberate contrast to the more colourful look of Diablo 3, which divided fan opinion.
At 2018’s BlizzCon Blizzard announced mobile-only instalment Diablo Immortal, which received a negative reaction from fans hoping for news of a new PC instalment.
The strong response from fans caused the company to publish a blog post clarifying that it had “multiple teams working on different Diablo projects and we can’t wait to tell you all about them.”
Blizzard’s plans for Overwatch 2 also leaked on Sunday. The ‘story-focused’ sequel is set to be unveiled at BlizzCon.
